Back from the dead

So I know I've been MIA and that makes for a very difficult game of catch up! I think I'm finally to the point of rejoining the blogging world. Don't know why I left in the first place but here I am! :)

Let's see... I wish I could say I was in deep meditation and thought but honestly my life in just insane. In a nutshell, out of order kinda, and with no drama included .... since November which is the last time I posted:
Daija turned 9 years old.
Connor (my nephew) turned 8 and got baptised.
Chad and I went to Portugal. It was awesome but not long enough. And I've decided I like beaches with sun and that tropical smell better...
My family was here for much of December (went home just before Christmas) and it was seriously a great time to have them around so frequently. Wish I could have it more often.
We celebrated Christmas and as usual it was wonderful.
New Year's was uneventful and we're lucky Chad and I could even stay awake until midnight.
February was Valentine's Day which was also uneventful. We did our taxes and miraculously got back enough to pay off my doctor bills at Tanner Clinic. Still have more to go but Collin is officially paid for! No going back now (almost two years later....)
March brought the onset of a lot of birthdays. Too much cake later: Collin turned 2! Kyla turned 7!
We got a puppy. I know what you're thinking.... What am I thinking???? She's been part of the family for 3 weeks + and it just might kill me. SIGH I am determined to keep this one. We are slowly but surely putting in our fence (we only have to finish across the front) and then it will help. She is half German Shepherd and half Alaskan Malamute. She is freaking adorable which is the only thing saving her right now....
We were able to get a complete Barrett Family picture. It's very rare all of us are in one spot at the same time. Only one photoshop person is kinda a big deal. :) hahaha It turned out pretty great.
Alba went to prom in Wyoming this last weekend. She has several exchange student friends living there and she went with Juliano from Brazil. They had a good time and I'm glad she got to go. Then last night she got asked out to her prom by one of the boys in our ward! She was so excited and said, "I love America!" LOL Now begins the brainstorming of how to answer him back.
My back has been bugging me a lot lately. Today I can barely move. Funny it's when I'm immobile I decide to blog again... hmmmm.....going to the chiropractor tomorrow. Hopefully between him and me stretching and pain meds I can get back to normal. Because normal would be so nice.
The kids are all fighting the flu. Chad just came home and went to bed. And that's the end of catching up for now.
