Stupor

I don't really have much to say. I'm sure I could come up with something. But for now I'm going to take a nap. If my mother was reading this she'd be shocked. (not because of the nap, but the lack of anything to say - huh mom?)

The End....for now....

!!Roller Derby!!

I wanted to post it here first. I am joining the Junction City Roller Dolls derby team!!! :)

I am extremely excited about it! I've been going to practices and learning all the rules (well trying to learn them as fast as possible!). It's been interesting trying to get to know some of the ladies. It's a rough and tough sport and I am all over the extremeness!!!

I am not really OFFICIAL yet. But I am going to start out by being a ref at first. Then hopefully when a spot opens up I can get on the team. Try-outs are in August...hopefully if someone drops off the team. So right now I'm just a "wanna-be" tag along. LOL Which is a weird place to be. But I'm having fun and getting exercise, which is the main reason I wanted to join in the first place. All the other stuff are perks. :)

Best part is Chad is being pretty supportive. Which is refreshing. It's a pretty big time commitment. But so far so good. I'll keep things up to date as far as making the team or not. In the meantime, wish me luck! And hopefully I don't break anything!!!! LOLOL

Chad's project

Chad was recently assigned at work to be the leader of a group for the Zion's Paint-A-Thon this year. This was the house they were assigned to fix up. More pics to come. But here are the before and after shots. I am so proud of him and I hope you can tell the difference from these little pics. It is amazing what two days and lots of wonderful service can do! :)
The top two pics are before. This nice, old lady needed new paint. We trimmed the bush and dug out all the flower beds and put in no maintenance rocks and fake flowers in pots. (She LOVED that!) We fixed the wiggly railings, re-stained the cedar borders, trimmed the trees in back, cleaned out the garbage behind the shed, painted EVERYTHING that could possibly be painted, repainted and relabeled the mailbox, gave her a new doorbell and porch lights. Even repainted/stained her porch bench. Everyone who came helped so much and we had so much fun. It all got done in two days! Chad's management skills are amazing. :)

2 years old

This is what happens when a 2 year old gets his own breakfast. .....

Yes....that's a whole box of rice krispies. No...At least there's no milk in the bowl. :)

Kinder Graduation!

These are some of Daija's best friends in her Kinder class! In order: Daija, Tannen, Blake, Hailee, Hannah, and Beau. They are so excited to graduate!
They sang a song that had actions to it. Very cute!...I'm such a proud Momma!
On top: Walking back to her seat after the song.
Below: Waiting for her turn to walk across the stage and get her diploma! :)
Top: She didn't walk. She ran. Mom's not a pro photographer...therefore I wasn't quick enough to get a pick of her grabbing her diploma and running off stage! So here is her walking down from the stage. :) (Below..)
We were able to pick up my Grandma Thalman so she could be there! Her and Kyla had so much fun clapping for all the kids crossing the stage! Chad is such a proud Daddy!
Our little family. I can't believe how fast they are all growing!

Camping....sorta

A while back we had a backyard campout. I believe I blogged about it...? No? Long story short. We had a yard sale. Sold the old tent that was too small for all of us. Bought a bigger one to fit all of us. Bought the kids a sleeping bag each and Mom and Dad an air matress and "Wa La"! Back yard camping! :) The kids LOVED it! It was COLD. After Kyla kicked Chad off the air matress he went inside to sleep (ah...the convenience of being in the backyard...). After about 2:30am-ish Mommy was FREEZING. We saved money by not buying Chad and I decent sleeping bags and the blankets just weren't cutting it. So after constantly trying to tighten the blankets around me and waking up worried that the kids were still in their sleeping bags and staying warm, Mommy pulled the plug on the operation. I went inside. Woke up Chad. Made him help me carry the kiddos into the nice warm house and we all ended sleeping in our nice warm beds!!!!
Isn't that a wonderful story? LOL Here are the kids all ready to sleep outside. :) Aren't they adorable????My kids are seriously the cutest!
The girls LOVE their sleeping bags. In fact they are on their beds right now.

Chase just loved running and jumping on the air matress. LOL Crazy kid.

All in all it was a very good learning experience. One I'm glad was easily remedied with going inside instead of testing it out in the wilderness and freezing to death or something. That or else one of the kids would have been sharing their sleeping bag with Mommy! LOL

Girl Weekend

Ok. So the last couple of weekends Chad has had a lot of fun. Three Saturdays ago we had a garage sale. It went really well. :) Last Saturday Chad played in an all day volleyball tournament. He got really sunburned. Now this morning he's playing in the Stake golf tournament. I do not mind that he gets to do things. But lately it's feeling like he's taking every weekend and playing, without me, and I don't get to ever go have fun because if I want to I have to take the kids with me. Usually that is fine. I love my kids. But now and then every mother needs a break. So who wants to take a weekend off with me??? I NEED one! Do you? Seriously. I need to have a friend who will help me plan and actually take a break. Because I won't by myself. Anyone else have the same problem?

Summer Begins

Well school has ended and summer has begun. This year has been crazy and busy and seemed like it would never end, then suddenly we are finished. Daija is officially graduated from Kindergarten. I can't believe it. What am I going to do with myself once 1st grade starts and my big helper is gone ALL day??? LOL Guess Kyla will become my big helper...?

Daija had a wonderful K graduation! We brought Great-Gma Thalman with us. Gma and Gpa Barrett were there along with Spencer & Ashley, and Michelle! We got some great pics and enjoyed it very much. She's growing up so fast and getting so smart! :) Love you Daija! (pics soon to come!)

Daddy played in the first outdoor volleyball tournament in years last Saturday. He's regretting not putting on sunblock sooner. Very red and his feet are swollen and shoes are no fun. They didn't place in the tournament but they had lots of fun in the sun! (pics soon to come!) hehehe

Why is it that children don't understand "summer". Summer is for being lazy and having fun! NOT waking up early and then bugging mommy about what we're going to do today. Why do I have to entertain them 24/7? I know I'm complaining early.....it's only the first week out of school! I need to put together a schedule of some sort in order for us to have a decent routine. Or we're never going to get anything done, the kids will be whiny and bored, and then Mommy will spend too much money trying to keep them happy! Goal = find productive summer fun.

Found out I have health problems again. This time it's cysts on my ovaries. If I just wanted to take birth control the rest of my life I probably wouldn't have found any of it out. Ignorance is bliss. Dr. says the options are a laporoscopy. Or take birth control for a couple months and then check the ultrasound again. When you're trying to have babies birth control is a bad option. So I can suck it up and deal with the pain or have an expensive surgery. Hmmm? Nice. *sigh* It never ends.
