CHASE

Chase took his first steps tonight! He's been walking along furniture and pushes his little toy "walker" around; but tonight he LET GO and took two steps! We were all winding down and playing in Chase's room before bed tonight. Chad was sitting on the floor. Daija and Kyla were climbing on Chad. I was in the rocking chair, and Chase was holding onto the rocking chair. Chase turned so he was back to the chair and looked at Chad who was two steps away and walked to Daddy!!! :) I am very proud. Not only because he's 17 months old and finally going to start walking, but because I've known he could walk if he wanted to for several months now! He's literally just doing it on his time. After he took his steps to Chad he kept getting back up and trying to walk some more. He would get so excited that he would start dancing and fall over. LOL It was so funny. He just couldn't contain himself so he could walk. Then he just started to stand up from sitting on the floor. That's right. No getting up on a piece of furniture. Just get up off the floor and try to walk a couple of steps before falling back down again! :) He's so cute and so proud of himself!
